Interesting times lie ahead in Telangana as the state grapples with the aftermath of the election setback faced by KCR's family. Recovering from this setback won't be easy for KCR's family. KCR was riding a tiger the past ten years. Now that the ride has stopped, he should brace himself against the tiger looking to maul him!
KCR will be 75 years old in 2028 and may not be at the top of his game. KTR has not yet gained widespread acceptance. Should the Congress Chief Minister garner the approval of the people, it could prove exceedingly difficult for KCR's family to stage a political comeback.
KCR might just apologize to the people of Telangana, bid farewell to BRS and national party ambitions, and revert to the TRS name.
Revanth Reddy may not be the immediate choice for the Chief Minister post within the Congress. He lacks the necessary sophistication and gravitas. His public utterances lack the depth of insight and wisdom expected of a CM. The emergence of a strong Congress leader, previously not widely recognized, appears imminent in Telangana.
If the BJP does not get its act together, it will continue to be a minor participant in Telangana. CBI, ED, and IT can only do so much for BJP. The party needs to cultivate capable leaders if it hopes to gain more political space in the state.
